Kaliati who is also Minister of Gender, Children Disability and Social Welfare made the remarks during a meeting with DPP women in Blantyre.
Kaliati said women play a vital role in fostering various developmental activities.
She assured women in the country that the DPP government will continue promoting women and ensure gender equality.
