According to Deputy Police Spokesperson at Limbe Widson Nhlane, the person later died at the hospital.

“This happened during the night of July 10, 2017 near Banana Same point Bar in Bangwe Township,” said Nhlane.

Nhlane added by saying it is alleged that the deceased used to dress up like a lady at night so that when men approached him, he could easily rob them and on this night when he met his fate, he wore a black skirt, white bra and a blouse.

“When a man approached him to go at a nearest rest house, he rob him of cellphone plus cash and when he shouted for help the mob descended on the deceased and discovered that he was a male person after undressing him,” he added.

The police rushed to the scene to rescue him when received a report from a well wisher.

“They took him to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where he died before receiving treatment. The dead body is at the hospital's mortuary pending identification and postmortem,” explained Nhlane.
