According to Limbe Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Widson Nhlane, the deceased was on separation with his wife and it is alleged that one day he received a phone call from unknown man suspected to be in love affair with his wife telling him that the child he is having is not his biological child but of the man who called.

“This angered him and hanged himself to the rafters. Police is yet to finalize investigations and establish exactly what happened,” said Nhlane.

He therefore said members of the community are reminded that if they have any family issue should report at any Victim support unit in the nearest police formation and will be assisted accordingly.

“Committing suicide is not a solution; you instead pile more problems on your dependants,” said Nhlane.

The deceased hailed from Suweni village Traditional Authority Chapananga in Chikwawa district.
