Widson Nhlane who is Assistant Public Relations Officer at Limbe Police Station told MBC that, according to the husband of the deceased, he was advising her to check on the behaviour of their daughter but this did not go well with the deceased and she resorted to take some insecticides.
“She collapsed and was rushed to Chimaliro health centre where she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Postmortem results confirmed that death was due to poisoning,” said Nhlane.
Nhlane therefore advise members of the public that if they have any problem in their families they should be going to any police station in the Victim support unit or meet Church leaders and/or traditional leaders to help them rather than committing suicide.
He further said when parents or guardians commit suicide it creates a lot of problems to the people remaining behind like children since they all of sudden get no one to support them.
