Speaking during the handover ceremony of the houses to the community, PIH Executive Director Dr Luckson Dullie said the organization strives to improving people's living standards in the district. Dullie however appealed to the community to take care of the houses the organization has constructed.
“In our belief, health has a very wide definition, to us it is not just about absence of disease but when we are looking also at mental and social aspects it is connected to the work we do as PIH,” said Dullie pointing out that PIH not only aims at treating diseases but also reducing risk of illness.
Apart from building 16 houses, the organization also constructed a community centre hall and maintained boreholes.
