Speaking after the quiz one of the organizers of the competition Assistant Pastor Massy Banda of Kameza church said the quiz is one of the approaches by the church through which they spread the words of God to the young generation.
“The quiz is all about winning children to Christ; it’s our way of making them becoming aware of life in Christ. We cannot manage to reach them individually hence we have come up with this initiative. We hope to continue with this competition and next time more schools will participate,” said Banda.
Assistant Pastor Banda added that Christ Embassy is much impressed with the competition despite that many schools did not participate.
On her part, Bible Knowledge teacher at Chirimba Community Day Secondary School Modesta Malisita said the secret of her students’ achievement is teaching what is in the syllabus as the bible quiz questions are drawn from the subject outline.
“I am very proud as a teacher. To the organizers please continue with this initiative students like the subject because it is part of what is in the syllabus,” she said.
Christ Embassy will paint a classroom block at Chirimba CDSS as winner of the bible quiz competition, runners Chilangoma CDSS got 6 copies of NIV Bibles and Ntenjera CDSS came third and got a ground phone with MK10, 000 airtime.
