Announcing the partnership, Head of TNM Mobile Money, Chikhulupiliro Mphatso and FINCA Malawi Marketing Manager Violet Mangani said by the platform enables customers to push money from sides, breaking barriers to financial inclusion and providing freedom and power of transaction to customers.
“This partnership underlines our commitment to usher convenience to customers and enhance financial inclusion in the country through the use of digital financial services,” said Mphatso.
He said the partnership affords customers the opportunity to transact at anytime, even outside banking hours.
“Our TNM Mpamba service makes digital transaction a reality for Malawians. Integration with banks started in 2017, and this is one step further on that journey with the goal of providing convenience for our shared customers while enhancing financial inclusion,” said Mphatso.
Mangani said the partnership demonstrates FINCA Malawi’s continued efforts to digitize its service and product offerings and broaden financial products and services for Micro, Small and Medium-size Enterprises (MSMEs).
“FINCA Malawi is a licensed deposit taking microfinance institution that currently serves more than 50,000 customers across 23 branches. Our agency network is expanding. We are continuously investing in digital technology to support delivery of services and products and recently introduced a mobile banking platform to improve access across the country, particularly rural areas,” said Mangani.
Mangani said the partnership with TNM Mpamba creates convenience and speed which ultimately has a positive impact for customers.
