Launched on June 7, 2017, Zampira, interactive SMS promotion for fans is aimed at engaging soccer fans directly through sending predictions of weekly results and the season champion.
During the third draw, TNM continued to splash out cash to super league team supporters worth K50, 000 cash to three people each and 50 fans were rewarded with airtime.
Speaking during the fifth weekly draw, TNM’s Senior Manager- Business Enterprises, Limbani Nsapato hailed the football fans for their response to the promotion.
“In this week's draw there was about 22,000 predictions and out of those, about 1700 were correct. This just shows that Malawians are able to follow the game and read it so well to predict the outcomes. This takes love and passion for the game,”
Nsapato reminded soccer loving Malawians to send their predictions of the Champion of this 2017 season before the first half of the season ends in August.
“Apart from the weekly predictions of results of games, fans should be reminded that they can also predict the winner of the season and be in the run for K250, 000 at the end of the season. This part of the promotion runs up to August,’ he said.
He said that Zampira promotion also gives fans the opportunity to continuously be up to date with their teams and the league in general.
“Fans have also the opportunity to get both league and team updates and they are able to get live updates for a particular game when they subscribe simply by dialling 1515,” he said.
One of the K50, 000 cash winners in the fifth draw Matias Mailosi from Lilongwe hailed TNM for coming up with Zampira promotion.
“I support Nyasa Big Bullets and I predicted the game between my team and Kamuzu Barracks which we won. I’m very encouraged with this prize,” said Mailosi.
To participate in the promotion, subscribers are required to send an SMS of their prediction to code 1515 for the selected game. The promotion draws will be conducted on a weekly and monthly interval before the grand draw.
With Zampira, TNM will be giving out cash to lucky customers in the ranges of K50,000 and K100,000 every month ahead of the grand prize winner of K1.5 million.
