IMoSyS donates K10 million in services to MEI Lakeshore Conference

Intelligent Monitoring Systems (IMoSyS), one of the leading providers of digital solutions, has donated services worth K10 million to the Malawi Engineering Institution (MEI) in support of its upcoming 2024 Engineering Lakeshore Conference.

The event, set to take place on 12th and 13th September, will be held in Mangochi.

The donation was officially handed over during a ceremony in Lilongwe, where IMoSyS Operations Manager, Kumbukani Namanja, emphasised the company’s recognition of the engineering sector’s vital role in national development.

“Engineers are crucial to economic growth, and as a company, we believe in supporting their efforts. Our contribution to this conference reflects our commitment to the Malawi 2063 development blueprint, which we know cannot be realised without a robust and vibrant engineering sector,” Namanja remarked.

In his response, the conference’s organising chairperson, Engineer Kondwani Chilemba, expressed gratitude for the generous support from IMoSyS. He highlighted that the conference will provide a platform for engineers to discuss their role in helping Malawi achieve its 2063 national aspirations, as well as the challenges they encounter within the profession.

The 2024 Engineering Lakeshore Conference is anticipated to draw professionals from across the engineering spectrum, all aiming to contribute towards the nation’s developmental goals.
