Rebranded Helios Towers, a telecommunications infrastructure company, is hoping to play a key role in helping Malawi achieve the Sustainable Development Goal on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
Its Managing Director, Dzigba David, says the company is set to continue providing telecommunications infrastructure to mobile network operators and even better services while running telecommunication towers in the country.
Helios Towers was previously known as Malawi Towers, which was a subsidiary of Airtel Malawi and Airtel Malawi Managing Director, Charles Kamoto, believes the company will enable mobile network operators to expand service delivery so that they can reach a wider , particularly those who do not have access to the internet.
Helios Towers also operates telecommunication tower sites in Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, and Madagascar.
