Estate owners, workers urged to adopt e-payment

Estate owners and workers in Thyolo have been urged to switch to e-payment systems to enhance safety and efficiency, particularly in rural areas.

This call was made on Wednesday during a Digital Financial Services (DFS) awareness campaign at Makande-Chizunga Estate.

Setrida Thomas from the Reserve Bank of Malawi said e-payments reduce theft risks and provide quick, convenient payments.

Steve Mgwadira from the Ministry of Finance added that mobile wallets simplify payroll and ensure secure transactions.

Nizia Anthony, a worker at Makande-Chizunga Estate praised the system for promoting financial discipline and safety.
