Corps Africa has constructed a K15 million under-five clinic named ‘Bambo Gordon’ at Madani Village, which is under Traditional Authority Ndamera in Nsanje District.
Nsanje District Director of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Dr Gilbert Chapweteka, said the clinic will greatly ease pressure on Ndamera Health Centre, which is far away from the village, and it is mostly congested.

According to Dr Chapweteka, the clinic will serve about 1,000 children from the areas of five Group Village Heads, offering services such as immunisation, scale weighing and other essential child health care.
Malawi Corps Africa Director, Wongani Mugaba, applauded the people of Madani for taking full responsibility for the project.

Mugaba said such a community-driven spirit is exactly what Malawi needs if Vision 2063 is to be realised.
The clinic’s name honours Gordon Radley, remembered for serving children in the area in the early 1960s, and who, alongside Corps Africa, also supported the project.
