Senior Chief Kilupula of Karonga District has urged traditional leaders under his jurisdiction to start committing themselves to solving challenges in schools rather than waiting for support from elsewhere.
He made the call at Ngerenge Primary School during a fundraising ceremony that the school’s alumni association organised.
Alumni Chairperson, Alex Mwangosi, said they expect to raise K3.2 million to construct eight pit latrines at the school.
During the function, the Malawi Grassroot Soccer Development Foundation (MGSDF) presented two soccer balls to the school, which the Foundation sourced from businessman Atusaye Nyondo.
