Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima has touched down at the Kamuzu International Airport from Seoul, South Korea.
Dr Chilima along with officials from the ministries of Finance, Trade, Agriculture, and Foreign Affairs, attended the just-ended Korea – Africa Summit.
The Inaugural summit saw the Korean Government pledging $10 billion in official development assistance to African countries plus a further $14 billion to help Korean companies stimulate trade between Africa and Korea.
Dr Chilima also expressed excitement with a commitment by the Green Climate Fund, that will see disbursement of the first chunk of financial aid towards Malawi’s climatic resilience in the next 40 days.
