Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) has donated six motorcycles worth K120 million to some of its health facilities, with a view of improving health service delivery.
Presenting the donation on Tuesday in Lilongwe, CHAM Executive Director, Happy Makala, said in 190 health centres, a majority of which are in hard-to-reach areas, transportation remains a challenge.
He then appealed for more support to the health sector for the attainment of the Malawi 2063 Agenda.
Hospital Administrator at St. Luke’s Hospital, Winas Boma, said the motorcycle will come in handy and believes it will have a positive impact in the health sector.
