President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has met chiefs from eight out of the 13 districts in the Southern Region at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre.
Accompanied by Information Minister, Moses Kunkuyu and Local Government Minister, Richard Chimwemdo Banda, President Chakwera aimed to solicit insights from the chiefs regarding crucial development matters.
During the meeting, Senior Chief Chikumbu highlighted challenges affecting people in their respective areas and President Chakwera took note of their concerns.
Paramount Chief Lundu of Chikwawa and Paramount Chief Kaduya of Phalombe were also in attendance.
