All set for the Mining Investment Forum

Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe will this morning be the centre of attention as President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is expected to open the 2024 Mining Investment Forum.

The forum is happening inside the Agriculture Tourism and Mining Strategy Promotion week, which started on the 19 April and is expected to end on the 27th this month.

Over 500 international and local delegates are expected to attend the forum and they include Africa Mineral Strategy Group in Uganda, Australia, Saudi Arabia, DRC and South Sudan’s Minister of Mining Martin Gama Abucha.

At the forum, stakeholders will showcase different minerals that Malawi has and will discuss services, financing avenues and other critical areas which can help promote the country’s mining sector.

The forum will take place under the theme “Transforming the Nation through Sustainable Mineral Extraction”.
