ADMARC spreads festive cheer with rice donation to QECH

Patients and guardians at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital can look forward to hearty Christmas meals, thanks to a one-tonne rice donation from ADMARC.

During the handover, ADMARC Chief Executive Officer Dan Makata described the gesture as a way of giving back to a facility that serves as a lifeline for patients across the country.

Makata further disclosed that all other divisions of ADMARC will also make similar donations to their nearest health facilities during this festive season.

Receiving the donation, the hospital’s Controller of Administrative Services, Sipho Nyasulu, described the donation as timely and vital.

According to Nyasulu, the rice will cater for almost 1000 patients who are admitted to the facility on a daily basis.

QECH requires almost 150 kilogrammes of rice per day to feed its patients.
