ACB urges journalists to lead Malawi’s anti-corruption fight

Acting Chief Public Education officer for the Anti – Corruption Bureau (ACB), Egritta Ndala, has urged journalists to play a key role in the anti graft fight through investigative reporting on corruption acts.

Ndala made the remarks on Monday in Mzimba District at the start of a two-day training for members of Hora Press Club in the district.

She said the bureau decided to train the journalists to acquaint them with expertise on how to uncover and report corruption effectively.

Ndala stressed the media’s power in promoting transparency and accountability, urging journalists to align with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy II.

Hora Press Club Chairperson, Ephraim Banda, praised the initiative, highlighting its importance in empowering journalists to inspire public action against corruption.
